Text Export

HyperGASP also offers the most powerful text importing and exporting tools available in any hyper media authoring environment for the Mac.

"Quick Export Text" is pictured here, which lets you collect text quickly and export it on the spot.

GASP's interlinked text utilities allow you to:

* Select the specific text chunks you want to save when exporting from your stack, by clicking on fields directly or by selecting field names from a comprehensive list.

* Create permanent "Export" buttons which allow your students to save the work they've done in your stack as text files.

* Export text to any word processor as a rich text format document, with text formatting preserved.

* Bring formatted text back into HyperCard from a word processor, with each revised chunk of text going back into the original field from which it was sent.

* Insert simple but powerful macro-like codes into text in a word processor to turn a text document into a stack-making HyperCard engine. These codes let you break the text up and assign individual sections to new cards and fields. These new cards and fields are then created automatically when the text is imported into a stack.
