Hot Text
This utility is used to assign "pop-up" media elements or "hypertext" links to text phrases in fields.
Pull down on the red pop-up menu to see the options available. Pictures and movies can be opened with explanatory note fields. Hypertext connections can be established simply by selecting "destination" text with the browse tool and clicking "link" on a dedicated floating palette.
With HyperGASP you can color pop-up fields just as you would any other field (normally, scripting is required to get a pop-up field to appear in color.)
You can try out the hot text in the quote from Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., below. (Simply click on the text marked with an asterisk.)
"I sometimes wondered what the use of the arts was. The best thing I could come up with was what I call the canary in coal mine* theory of the arts. This theory says that artists* are useful to society because they are so sensitive. They are super sensitive. They keel over like canaries in poison coal mines long before more robust types* realize that there is any danger whatsoever."
